The Road to Mt Cook || New Zealand
With landscape photography, sometimes the road can be just as interesting as the destination. and this particular route on the way to Mt Cook is a beautiful example of this.
While we were filming Photographing The World, we spent nearly an entire month driving around the South Island of New Zealand looking for different places to teach unique lessons about landscape photography. Here, I had a fun idea to incorporate light trails into the scene to help accentuate the awesome curves in the road. The only issue was that there was no traffic at that time of night!
What was the solution? Have Lee and Patrick drive up and down the road as I capture multiple exposures of light trails. ;)
