Grandmother's family home at 507 Mt Heslington Road, Spring Grove being renovated by new owners....

A 1907 photo of my grandmothers house in Mt Heslington Rd, Spring Grove. The farm actually belonged to William Hildreth, who purchased the land from the New Zealand company and he named it Mt Heslington after his mothers birthplace in York, England. Robert Eden initially rented the farm and worked as the manager. Then later bought it.

Grandmother's family home at 507 Mt Heslington Road, Spring Grove being renovated by new owners. A family member (Adreinne Tibble) contacted me and said that any of our family would be welcome to visit.
Current owners are Henri and Ingrid Jansen.
This home is where Emily Cecelia Eden was brought up and she used to wave to my grandfather, Royston Burdett Currin who lived on a farm across the road. This led to marriage

    1. Hello Henri, this is John Currin and I visited you along with my brother David Currin about 2 years ago and you kindly showed us through. We were very impressed with the work that you have done and also to walk the floor boards that my grandmother, Emily Cecelia Eden, had also walked. Thank you for your hospitality and for restoring an ex-family home to such a beautiful state. Best wishes from John Currin - currinfamily@gmail.com
