Hi John

Take the Woodville Wanderer through the Manawatu Gorge, view the magnificence of the gorge from the safety of the railway track. On the other side you will see the area at the southern end that has resulted in the Manawatu Gorge being closed to traffic. The Manawatu Standard reported on the 14th September 2017 the slip is set become 170 times bigger than the slip in 2011 that closed the gorge for a year.

Passing through the Gorge its on to Woodville where buses will take you (no charge) into the Woodville township where you will find all businesses and cafes open most with special offers.

A Beer garden live entertainment at various points. You will get an information pack on the train from Woodville Ambassadors who will be on board to tell you about their great little town. Join in the fun and wear a different sort of hat and be in to win “The Mad Hatters Hat Competition.
