George is visiting for the long weekend and he has a fondness for Whanganui and more particularly Bason Botanic Gardens which is a beautiful park.

We cruised over to Whanganui and were passing Ian and Rosalie Broderson's place and they just happened to be pulling into their driveway so stopped and had a cup of tea and were presented with lots of whitebait, lemons, limes and freshly laid eggs. Had a lovely catch up with them.

Some of Ian and Rosie's chickens

Headed out to Kai Iwi and the beach. A bit wind swept out there.

The beach is a bit rugged today

Wandered back up the road to Bason Botanic Gardens  = lots of families enjoying the day, a great place for a barbecue which are provided free including the gas.

Then it was off to Feilding, George wanted to see why Feilding was the most beautiful town in New Zealand, after seeing it he did agree that it was beautiful indeed.
